Astronomy activities and dark sky viewing await your eyes at this annual event led by both local and visiting astronomy enthusiasts. Stop by the Lakeside Day-Use Area (the big lawn off the main road) between 7-9pm to construct a planisphere, launch water rockets, learn the phases of the moon, and more. At dusk, wander over to the Lakeside Amphitheater for a star party talk and stories while we wait for the day’s remaining light to fade. Finally, from dark until midnight, look for the line of telescopes set up on the shoreline side of the day-use lawn to view planets, stars, and deep sky objects through telescopes and with the guidance of the event’s expert helpers.

Note: The sky viewing portion of this event may be rescheduled for a later night in the week if clouds obscure the night sky view.
