Join us for a free, guided walk and discussion with Carrie Gordon, retired Forest Service geologist and Ranger Garretson. Learn about the explosie geologic history of the Columbia Plateau and the Blue Mountains, looking northeast from our iconic Pilot Butte summit. Meet at the trail head kiosk at the east side parking area. Summit parking is very limited so people need to park at the base parking lot. Participants unable to hike to the top may drive and meet the group at the summit at approximately 7:30.
