Come visit LaPine State Park on State Parks Day, Saturday June 2. We'll have free hot dogs and other snacks waiting for you in Middle Loop camp ground from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm. Please plan to spend some extra time in the park before or after you eat to visit "Big Tree", the largest known Ponderosa pine. Follow the signs for Big Tree to get to the parking lot, then walk about 1,000 feet down the hill on a paved trail to view the tree. Please call the park at 541-536-2428 if you need more information.
