Join park rangers for an evening of owling! We will begin with an indoor presentation, “All About Owls,” and an owl pellet dissecting activity, for those who are interested. After the sun has set, we will embark on a short, ½-mile round trip hike to call for owls. This can require some patience, so it may not be suitable for children under 5 years of age. This portion of the event usually lasts 30-45 minutes, so be sure to dress warmly and be prepared for the weather. A flashlight is also recommended, as we will be walking over some even terrain. This park requires a day-use parking permit, which may be purchased at the park for $5. You also may purchase a 12-month or 24-month parking permit from the online Park Store.
