Winchuck State Recreation Site

Park History

This holding was purchased from a private owner in 1964 as a possible beach access site.  There is a multi-agency effort to restore a 1.2-acre estuary at the mouth of the Winchuck River.  The estuary was carved from an upland portion of the 6.8-acre Winchuck State Recreation Site.
