About Camping

Is firewood and ice available for purchase in the campground?

Yes, firewood bundles are available for purchase for $5/bundle from 4pm-8pm at the woodshed.

Yes, ice is available for purchase for $3/bag at the woodshed. 

Change is available from an on-duty park host.  Checks payable to OPRD, visa/mastercard accepted. 

Are reservations available at Goose Lake State Recreation area campground?

No, Goose Lake State Recreation Area campground is first come, first served.


Is my pet welcome at the park?

Yes, pets are welcome at the park on a leash no longer than 6ft. 

Ask a Park Ranger or Park host about the off-leash area in the park.  The off-leash area is located west of the railroad tracks.  If you are outside that area leashes are required for your pets safety.

Can I have an event at Goose Lake State Recreation Area?

Special events are often accomodated within Oregon State Parks.  Certain events may require a special use permit, please call 541-783-2471 to ask about your event.
