Maintenance Host

Luckiamute State Natural Area

Needed From November 1, 2020
Needed To December 31, 2020

If you enjoy a farm-like experience and living in a State Park Natural Area, this position may be for you.  This position requires the operation of a small tractor to perform various duties such as, mowing fields and entrance roads, loading and unloading materials (forks), and mowing areas near hiking trails.   You will also be responsible for maintaining a small collection of gas powered landscaping equipment and covering days off for our Day Use hosts.   Other duties may include building maintenance and assisting the rangers with special proejcts.

The host site is located near the shopyard at a quiet and low key district office surrounded by the Luckiamute State Natural Area and neighboring farms. Hunting is allowed during hunting season (fall) in the natural area and a few days a year it can get noisey during harvest season.  Visitor interaction is very low.  We are located between the small towns of Albany and Independence.

Please call or email for questions.
