Day-Use Host

Maud Williamson State Recreation Site

Needed From September 1, 2021
Needed To September 30, 2021

Maud Willamson State Park is a wonderful park to host. Located on Hwy 221 near the Wheatland Ferry, Maud Williamson is a 24 acre park. The park also includes a historic farm house once occupied by Maud Williamson who donated the property as a park. Public amenities include a covered picnic shelter which can be reserved for group picnics. Volleyball and horseshoes are available for groups renting the picnic shelter. Large second-growth Douglas Fir trees tower overhead providing shade and excellent conditions for wildflowers in the early spring, including trilliums.

Some of the Day-Use Host duties include:

Close and open park gate (hours vary by season).

Mowing, removing sticks and other organic debris, and managing onsite burn pile. Operate small power equipment (blower, string trimmer) for other light landscaping duties.

Monitor water system usage and test chlorine levels.

Check in with reservation groups (summer season only).

Site is 50 AMP hookup, and a washer and dyer are on site.

Host assignments are typically 2-4 months. Dates listed reflect current availability.

Let us show you how wonderful it is to host with the Willamette Mission Management Unit!
