Needed To August 31, 2019

LOEB CAMP HOST (SUMMER).  Clean sites, sell firewood, be on-call to provide visitor information, minor rule advisement, pick up litter and pet waste, blow off areas, help with projects.  Make sure SRE box, doggie bag dispenser, and brochure rack are filled.  Additionally, two days a week you do the Cabin Host’s duties on their days off:  check people into cabins, clean cabins, clean fire pits in Day Use, litter patrol on gravel bar.  Bend, stoop, lift up to 30 lbs., operate gas-powered equipment, use a shovel.  Drives state passenger truck and utility vehicles.   Must be public-service oriented and communicate well with park staff, visitors, and other hosts while being a visible representative of Oregon Parks & Recreation – acting professional at all times.  Inform Rangers if any task is not within your capabilities.  Occasionally, hosts may be asked to help out on special projects or seasonal tasks or clean-ups that are not listed here;  sorry, but it is not possible to list every single thing you might be asked to do.  In those instances it is usually an optional request that you can choose not to participate in – unless it really does fall within your range of misc. duties.   Loeb is located 8 miles east of Brookings on the Chetco River.  50 sites, 3 cabins.
