Yurt/Cabin Host

Sunset Bay State Park

Needed From May 1, 2022
Needed To May 31, 2022

Want to be a Yurt Host at Sunset Bay State Park?  We’d love for you to come join our team! Park Rangers rely on dedicated volunteers to perform a number of tasks in order to maintain the high level of service that makes our parks so great!

Situated in one of the most scenic areas on the Oregon coast, Sunset Bay State Park features beautiful sandy beaches protected by towering sea cliffs. Only a short walk from the beach, the campground has sites for tent camping and RV's, as well as cozy and comfortable yurts. Day-use and picnic facilities are located along the bay to allow easy access for beachcombing, fishing, swimming, and boating.

A network of hiking trails connects Sunset Bay with nearby Shore Acres and its beautiful formal garden that is sure to impress, as well as Cape Arago State Park. Hiking these trails will give you a chance to experience pristine coastal forests, seasonal wildflowers and spectacular ocean vistas from atop the rugged cliffs and headlands.

The park provides a full hook up site, 30/50 amp WIFI, landline phone (no cell service in park), firewood, and laundry facility. Yurt host provide infromation to visitors, clean yurts inside/outside, clean fire pits, litter pick sites, trim, mow, place site markers, sale firewood, and check restrooms replacing paper products.

If this seems like something you'd be interested in, please reach out to the Sunset Bay Management Unit Host Coordinator, Ranger Jess Hayward.
