Needed To May 31, 2022

Would you like to be a campground Yurt host at Sunset Bay State Park? We’d love for you to come join our team!  Park Rangers rely on dedicated volunteers to perform a number of tasks in order to maintain the high level of service that makes our parks so great!

Our Yurt hosts provide a number of volunteer services that are sure to include: cleaning yurts inside/outside,  answering visitor questions, selling fire wood, litter pick up, light landscaping and maintaining campground and facilities.

Situated in one of the most scenic areas on the Oregon coast, Sunset Bay State Park features beautiful sandy beaches protected by towering sea cliffs. Only a short walk from the beach, the campground has sites for tent camping and RV's, as well as 8 cozy and comfortable yurts. Day-use and picnic facilities are located along the bay to allow easy access for beachcombing, fishing, swimming, and boating.

A network of hiking trails connects Sunset Bay with nearby Shore Acres and it beautiful English garden that is sure to impress, as well as Cape Arago State Park. Hiking these trails will give you a chance to experience pristine coastal forests, seasonal wildflowers and spectacular ocean vistas from atop the rugged cliffs and headlands.
