Golden Townsite State Heritage Site is a 5.43 acre Day Use Park located about 10 miles south of Glendale and 20 miles north of Grants Pass.  This old ghost town has a rich history dating back to the gold rush era.  The host site is located within the day-use park.  The chosen candidate will work primarily with a Park Ranger located at Wolf Creek Inn 4 miles away.  Hosts will be required to travel in a state provided truck to Wolf Creek Inn periodically to assist park staff there. The site is equipped with water, sewer, electricity (50amp) and a land line.  Cell service may be spotty with AT&T having the best connection.  Laundry and internet service is availabe for hosts at Wolf Creek Inn.

Maintenance Duties include: Litter picking day use area, mowing and weed-eating depending on time of year, maintaining trails, assisting with gardening and orchard care at the historic Wolf Creek Inn, and other general grounds keeping as needed.

Visitor Services Duties include: Answer questions and provide information to park visitors. Prepares park for wedding and group activities. Works with park staff to coordinate special events.

Equipment used within your comfort level: Electric and gas powered carts, pickup trucks with trailers, tractors, riding and push mowers, string trimmers, blowers, a variety of hand and power tools and 2-way radios.
