Please come work with Tumalo State Park staff in beautiful Bend Oregon. Your private full hook up camp site is  We'll  ask you to work 4-6 hours a day, 5 days a week helping rangers with  maintainance tasks such as servicing equipment such as weedeaters, gators and mowers, mowing and other special projects as assigned.  Small engine repair skills are needed for this position.  This position will be working along side the maintenance Ranger to get the campground up and running for the busy season.The rest of your time is free to spend exploring the High Lakes, rivers and hiking trails, tasting Bends vast array of craft beers, taking in the shops and enjoying the Central Oregon sunshine.

SMALL ENGINE MAINTAINENCE - MOWERS change oil, filter, air filter, grease fittings, check coolant and inspect for any damage needing repair. 

John deere riding mowers, front deck, walk behinds.

Weedwhackers and blowers- check to make sure all are running properly. Change filters and spark plugs as needed.

Mow each park at least once a week starting in May.  Its good to have a set schedule for this. For example Mow pilot butte every Monday, campground Wednesday, Cline falls Friday.  Mowers should be checked weekly for any repair needs such as blade sharpening.  Front deck mower needs to be sprayed down after every use.  All grass should be sprayed off under deck and cleaned out behind radiator fins. Check fluids & lube weekly.

Get pole barn set up with proper tools and equipment.  This will be an on going project that Jacob can help facilitate. 

Irrigation repairs and help as needed for all parks.  Any time mowing is done it is good to inspect for broken sprinkler heads.  

Help with keeping woodshed stocked, help keep gas supplies full and filing up 5 gallon cans as needed.

Check in with rangers for any projects that you can help on.
