Assigned Tasks:
· Engage Guests to Provide Exceptional Customer Service
· Provide information to visitors by serving in a small information center
· Answer questions regarding park information, rules, local area services and attractions
· Rent bicycles, adjust seats, air tires and any other minor bicycle repairs
· Be familiar with Junior Ranger Program, History and Tsunami Quests, and the Lewis and Clark Jr Ranger Program
· General housekeeping of Visitor Center
· Stocking brochures and fliers
Requirements: Meet all of the physical requirements listed below. Ability to safely perform duties as directed by park staff, use state approved cleaning supplies, and drive vehicles.
Desired Attributes: Strong customer service skills, Desire to serve in high visitation coastal park, Effective Communication. Attention to detail.
Physical Requirements: Ability to bend, twist, sweep
Training Provided: Park staff will provide training on overview of the OPRD Junior Ranger program and the Lewis and Clark Junior Ranger program. A Park Host manual is loaned to each host to be used throughout your stay. An Emergency Procedures Manual provides guidance in dealing with minor and major events. A list of contacts will give hosts points of contact with park staff for any issues requiring assistance.
Tools and Equipment Usage: brooms, mops, dustpans, and OPRD approved cleaning supplies.
