Campground Host

Champoeg State Heritage Area

Needed From July 1, 2019
Needed To July 31, 2019

Want to be a campground host at Champoeg? We’d love for you to come join our team! Park Rangers rely on dedicated volunteers to perform a number of crucial duties in order to maintain the high level of service that makes our parks great.

A campground host provides a number of volunteer duties that are sure to include answering visitor questions, selling yurts and cabins, litter pick up, light restroom cleaning, mowing, landscaping and maintaining campground and facilities, and selling ice and firewood.

Not only is Champoeg a beautiful natural park with trails, camping and outdoor recreational activities, but it is steeped in the history of the Pacific Northwest.

Although a beautiful and remote setting along the banks of the Willamette River, Champoeg is only 7 miles from the city of Newberg, 25 miles from Portland and 20 miles north of Salem.

For information on hosting at Champoeg, contact Park Ranger Dan Klug at 503-678-1251 x 222. I’d love to hear from you!
