Day-Use Host

Smith Rock State Park

Needed From September 1, 2023
Needed To September 30, 2023

You'll love Smith Rock (aka one of the "Seven Wonders of Oregon"), nestled in the Crooked River Canyon in Oregon's High Desert.

We've got gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, amazing views of the Cascades on clear days, 12 miles of scenic hiking trails and plenty of wildlife viewing opportunites in the park. Smith Rock is considered the birthplace of modern sport climbing in the United States and is a world renowned destination for rock climbing, boasting over 2000 bolted sport routes!

We are close to hip and historic Bend Oregon which has great restaurants, breweries and shopping. For quick trips to the grocery store we are 3 miles from the small community of Terrebonne, and only 7 miles from Redmond.

If you like talking to people from all over the world, hosting at Smith Rock might be just what you're looking for.

We're looking for a host or host team for the month of SEPTEMBER 2023.

You will be stationed in a full hook up site with great views of the park. You'll be provided with on-site training, a cell phone and a Gator utility vehicle. There are laundry facilities available on-site as well. Wednesday and Thursday's off.

We are looking for an individual or couple  to assist our staff with maintaining our Day Use areas by checking the restrooms for paper products, emptying trach cans, litter picking and answering customer questions. There will be other project opportunities that can be discussed as needs arise.

Interested? Please contact me for questions!
