The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to offer a summer series of guided weekend outings for beginning campers of ALL ages. With hands-on lessons, nature hikes and fun family activities, Let’s Go Camping makes camping easy. These events take place all across Oregon and may be coming to a park near you. All events feature these sessions:

|Equipment care & maintenance|
|Leave No Trace (outdoor ethics)|
|The 10 essentials of safe hiking|
|Fire building & safety|
|Campfire and Dutch oven cooking|
And... depending upon your chosen park location, other activities may include:
|Ranger-led hikes||Tide pooling|
|Kid's programs||Disc golfing|
|Swimming||Nature arts & crafts|
|Fishing||Night sky interpretation|
|Kayaking||Owl prowls & bat chats!|

Registration Fee: $30 per family. You get 2 nights of camping, camping loaner gear, all instruction and materials
COME VOLUNTEER WITH US!
Do you have expertise in camping skills and an interest in helping out?
Volunteers assist in teaching sessions and serve
as mentors new campers. Join us and camp for free!
