Greet the New Year right by hiking in a temperate rainforest with breathtaking views of the dramatic Oregon Coast along Tillamook Head. Learn about the trail's Lewis & Clark legacy, the Tillamook Lighthouse, plants, wildlife and more. The guided hike will go 1 1/2 miles from Ecola Point to Indian Beach. Hikers may break for lunch at Indian Beach and return at their leisure or may return with guide. Meet at the northwest corner of the Ecola Point parking lot. Ecola Point parking lot is 2 miles up Ecola Park Road, accessed from 5th Street on the north end of Cannon Beach. The trail is moderately challenging with a mix of steep grades, uneven terrain and trail sections that boarder steep areas. Recommended for children 6 and up. Dress for inclement weather, wear comfortable, sturdy shoes (preferably waterproof), water, a snack or lunch, camera, and curiosity. Restrooms located at Ecola Point and Indian Beach.
