California sea lions infected with Leptospirosis are appearing on Oregon beaches , the Oregon Marine Mammal Stranding Network reports. The contagious bacterial infection, and many others, are transmittable to humans and dogs. Please stay away from stranded marine mammals. It is a violation of federal and state laws to harass, disturb, touch or feed marine mammals. Report violations to Oregon State Police at 800-452-7888. This small park contains a couple of picnic tables, a vault-style restroom and a short boat ramp leading into the Umpqua River. There's a small amount of room for trailer parking, but the parking lot is better suited to passenger vehicles.
