In search of Maintenance Host for Sunset Bay State Park on the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast!!

Want to be a maintenance Host at Sunset Bay State Park?  We’d love for you to come join our team! Park Rangers rely on dedicated volunteers to perform a number of tasks in order to maintain the high level of service that makes our parks so great!

Situated in one of the most scenic areas on the Oregon coast, Sunset Bay State Park features beautiful sandy beaches protected by towering sea cliffs. Only a short walk from the beach, the campground has sites for tent camping and RV's, as well as 8 cozy and comfortable yurts. Day-use and picnic facilities are located along the bay to allow easy access for beachcombing, fishing, swimming, and boating.

A network of hiking trails connects Sunset Bay with nearby Shore Acres and its beautiful formal garden that is sure to impress, as well as Cape Arago State Park. Hiking these trails will give you a chance to experience pristine coastal forests, seasonal wildflowers and spectacular ocean vistas from atop the rugged cliffs and headlands.

Your host site is located in the Sunset Bay campground and offers full hook up 30/50 amp, WIFI, host only laundry facility, land line phone and firewood. There is no cell service here. You need to go 1 mile north or 2 miles south to get service. You will work 4-6 hours a day 4-5 days a week. Depeding on need of park.

We would like a Maintenance Host to assist with  painting projects, mowing, trimming,  small building projects, yurt repairs, picnis table repair/replace, help sell firewood, and act as an emergency back up for campground/yurt host.  We are looking for motivated people who can work alone or side by side with other host and Rangers.
