The Whale Watch Building was uniquely built on the shore side of hwy 101, in the heart of small town Depoe Bay. It was built as a rest stop for passengers of hwy 101 and is now used as a free admission visitor center open to the public. It offers the experience of an ocean front panoramic view with balcony, restrooms, educational interpretative displays, gift shop items, binoculars and viewing camera, children's activities, fossils, agates and whale bones.
In acceptance of this assignment, you will receive training on whale watching information, cash register reconciliation, OPRD general safety training and visitor service information. This is a great opportunity to experience the Oregon coast at one of our most breath taking park buildings.
