Fall SOLVE Riverside Cleanup

Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site

Needed From September 23, 2017
Needed To September 23, 2017

In an effort to prevent litter from traveling down out waterways and out to the ocean, the staff of Oregon parks and Recreation Department's West Gorge Unit are asking your help to clean up the riverside at Lewis & Clark State Park (location was changed from Dabney State Recreational Area). All materials will be provided, as well as water and snacks to keep you fueled. If you prefer to use your own water bottle, there is potable water on sight, as well as flush restrooms. Please check the weather report the morning of the event and dress accordingly. Keep in mind that we will be handling trash and other debris, so wearing clothing that will protect your skin, such as long shorts/pants and closed toed shoes are recommended. This event is kid friendly and we encourage volunteers to get their family involved, too. Everyone will need to sign volunteer waivers, so please arrive a little early. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the event coordinator, Jami Starr. We look forward to seeing you in on the waterway!
