Do you have a desire to connect outdoors with other people? Perhaps you also enjoy using your hands to get a job done? Minam State Park might be right for you!
Minam State Park is rich with logging and Native American history located deep in a canyon following the scenic Wallowa River. Our goal is to have volunteer(s) represent Oregon State Parks at our new Visitor Center and talk about: the surrounding areas, its history and culture, while also explaining regulations of the park and helping aid in maintenance tasks.
Some of these tasks include but are not limited to:
Maintenance tasks: restocking and cleaning restrooms and clean and keep up the visitor center, weed eating, using a push mower, may use small power tools.
Additional Information for prospective volunteers:
Our volunteer/host site offers a 50 amp hook up as well as water and sewer. The length of the site is 50’ long.
There is no cell service at the park. There is satelite available.
Are you an avid animal observer? There are many different types of wildlife interactions in Minam from birds to bears.
