Day-Use Host

Illinois River Forks State Park

Needed From June 1, 2016
Needed To June 30, 2016

This little known rural day-use park is situated just off Hwy 199 between the redwood coast and the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon.  No camping is available.  Located on the sparkling Illinois River where the east and west forks meet just outside of Cave Junction, it's a great place for visitors to cool off from the summer's heat.  Hikers and equestrians can access the scenic trails through the woods nearby.  There is also a disc golf course on the property.

A touristy little town known as the gateway to Oregon Caves National Monument, Cave Junction boasts coffeehouses, restaurants and a bit of southern Oregon culture.   See more photos here: http://www.highway199.org/unique-places/illinois-river-forks-state-park/

A day-use host is needed in June to help to open and close park gates, stock the restroom with paper products, pick up litter, help to mow and trim brush, and generally keep an eye on things and help maintain a clean appearance of park facilities.

Please call Bekah for more information.
