Interpretive Host

Cape Blanco State Park

Needed From June 1, 2018
Needed To June 30, 2018

Provide tours of an 1890 Victorian Home built by Irish immigrants Patrick & Jane Hughes. Visitors will experience a sense of life as they move around the home and discover what technologies the Hughes family brought into this “modern” home for its time.

Also revealed in the story of the Historic Hughes House is what impacts this family brought to the Sixes River valley and to the southern Oregon coast.

Interpretive Park Ranger will provide all information pertaining to the tour, along with training and guidance for these guided tours.

Enjoy the pristine beauty of the Oregon’s rocky coast and experience life from this grand home!

A detailed Position Description of your duties, campsite, and position schedule is available to those interested in this opportunity.

For the protection of the home, displayed artifacts, and safety for all participating in the tours, this position requires a host couple or team who can occupy a single host campsite during your stay.
