Living History Day- Pioneer Craft and Trade

Collier Memorial State Park

Needed From June 19, 2016
Needed To June 19, 2016

Collier Memorial State Park is looking for volunteers skilled in the crafts or trades of the pioneer days to share and demonstrate for the public at the 22nd annual Living History Day.  This event is an opportunity for visitors to see and experience what life was like for pioneers and loggers in Oregon's early years through demonstrations of logging equipment and techniques and pioneer trades.

We are looking for soap and candle makers, quilters, weavers, mountian men, wood carvers, etc.  If you have a skill or trade not listed but you think might apply give us a call.  Demonstrators are asked to dress to reflect the pioneer days between 1860's and the turn of the 20th century.

This year's event will be held June 19th, 2016 from 10:00 AM till 3:00 PM with early set-up starting at 7:00AM and volunteer potluck hosted by the park at 4:00PM after tear down.
