Jasper Point (Prineville Reservoir)

Prineville Reservoir is located in Central Oregon south of the town of Prineville. This position is located at Jasper Point State Park which has 25 water+power sites and one deluxe cabin.  It is a seasonal park open May-September.  Hosts are provided electric, water, and sewer hook ups. Reception for satellite and cell phones is fair and a phone landline is provided to the hosts. The campground sits right next to the 14 mile long reservoir that is perfect for boating, kayaking, and fishing. 

This positions duty will be to patrol the North Road, an 8 mile long gravel road that is a popular place for dispersed camping.  You will clean the CXT toilets, litter pick and inform the campers of the area rules.  You will work closely with the park ranger that patrols the area and be in daily contact with him.    

Other duties may include selling the cabin, firewood, and ice.  Along with those duties, you get the opportunity to assist customers with searching for a camp site. We will provide you with a host notebook that will have all the information you should need to answer questions. Position description may also include litter picking and checking, sweeping and stocking TP in the restroom. Cleaning of the cabin and/or fire pits is also one of your shared duties. A John Deere Gator is provided for transportation around the campground.  Some additional light projects may be added according to your physical level and special skills.
